So Saturday my hubby, my friend, her daughter (my goddaughter) and I went to the mall. I needed some work pants, my husband needed a suit for a job interview, my friend needed dress pants and her daughter needed sweat pants.
So we went to JC Penney, not one of my favorite stores, but moderately priced. I found the plus section on the top floor near men's clothes and underwear. My friend who is a size 10 had to leave me in the women's section to find the clothes for her and her daughter.
That really irked me. Besides the lack of selection, the lack of size 20's and pants that had legs big enough for tree trunks, I really missed the comradery of being with other women. One of the things I love about the Fat Girl Flea Market was all these women getting together and complimenting each other about how good things look on them. I did find two pairs that were acceptable made by Sag Harbor. I wanted Purple, but they only had four pairs of purple, 3 in 18w and 1 in 22w.
My friend got similiar pants. Hers were $8 cheaper.
My niece wanted to go to Yellow Rat Bastard. I explained to her why I don't like them . Not only do they not carry anything in my size but they never wrote me back when I asked them to carry plus sizes.
At least there was Hot Topic which had Emily the Strange Kitty pants in my size. I wish they would carry more plus sizes, but I'm glad they have some.
