Excuse the ramblings of the post as I am exhausted from the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday was the fat girl flea market. I was there on Sunday selling my book. It was absolutely marvelous. One of the few places I don't mind going even if there is a crowd. There is great camaraderie among the shoppers and I often find that people will pass outfits around no matter how great they are if they think someone else will look better in it. I missed the rush this year. I was in Philly selling my book. Unfortunately I didn't do that well. Luckily a lot of people came to my table and mentioned how they had already bought the book.
Sunday at the Flea was a little better. Although I learned that the Torrid in Staten Island had closed :-( I did have a lot of people come by and say they bought the book and loved it. It makes me feel good to help other women.
I got a lot of clothes for about $45 including a Torrid Skirt, a suede jacket, many tops and lots of jeans. I don't know if I'll keep everything but it was $5 bags at the end of the day so if I don't want them I can always redonate next year. I don't have to do much shopping until the next year. I wish it was more than once a year in more than one state. Judging by this article we are going to need a lot more.
