Just Friends

There are no fat actors, only fat suits.

"Just Friends" features Ryan Reynolds (most famous for his incredible performance in the complying drama "The Amityville Horror") as a former fat boy who after being rejected by a girl he likes slims down and becomes super! 

The Fat suit thing annoys me.  Granted I enjoyed "The Girl Most Likely To..." because it's a fun revenge fantasy but  it came out in 1972.  Why is it more than 30 years later and it is still difficult to find TV and movies with actors of all sizes.   

Thankfully, it looked like "Just Friends" Flopped as well as being panned by the critics.   It came in sixth place and made only 9 mil.  One hopes it will out of the theater by tomorrow.  Let's see if we can get "The Biggest Loser" canceled.  You just have to stop watching...

The Bad
Overweight kids at risk for broken bones. The big problem with this is study is that there is almost double overweight kids in the study then "normal" weight kids.

Thankfully fabulous fat chick Lynn McAfee is there fighting for the kids.I will post more about this as details become available.  It is sick that children have to be subjected to major surgery.

Is anyone else afraid that the backlash against fat people is going to be aimed at kids?

CBS News

CBS news is apparently forgot what the CDC had said and is doing some kind of "Fat in America is Evil" series this week. Tonight's segment headed to Houston while they interviewed first a mother claiming to see a lot of "them" around town, a  doctor who claimed being Obese caused every single health ailment every (cause thin folks never get sick), then to a moderated chubby trucker who dared to eat fried chicken, mac and cheese and string beans.  The focus of the story was on truckers cause a thin trucker had a heart attack and was concerned about the health of other truckers.  Nothing to do with being fat, but merely not eating healthy.

Tomorrow she visits a town in Louisiana (Not New Orleans which I believe 40% of the city still lacks power because obesity is more important than power) and they will talk about whether one could be fat and fit.  Judging by today's show I think they are going to say no.

Apparently Tyra Banks (a model doing a talk show du jour) put on a fat suit for her show today.  I missed it. It got mixed reviews on the fat lists.  In the end, Tyra gets to take off her fat suit, I don't.
