You're awesome. :-)

My sentiments exactly. If they don't want my money, then they can't have it, not even for non-clothing purchases at the big department stores.

A couple weeks ago we finally wandered into the Torrid up in Spokane. Even tho most of their fashions are too young for me (I'm 47), I was able to find a couple of cute tank tops (on sale no less) and saw they had a number of items I would have loved to have gotten if the budget had allowed at the time. We also discovered they have hosiery that fits, so now I know where I can get stockings :)

So my money goes to Torrid, Fashion Bug Plus and Shopko (lots of great casual stuff for a decent price). Unlike Target, our local Shopkos have plus sections overflowing with items, while the last time I was in Target, the plus clothes were down to two racks :P

I came across this post on the FatoSphere RSS feed-thing and...

I read this and found it hilarious. I mean, you're absolutely right. In a few years (or even months!), Ann Taylor and the rest who cut back on plus sizes are scratching their heads wondering HOW in the world Torrid and all those other "fat brands" are doing so well. Then they'll do another "trying a plus-sized line" again. Who knows if history will repeat itself then.
